Placement Exam General Information

     This exam determines whether or not you are prepared for college level math courses offered at UC Davis. It is imperative that you pass the Math exam to be successful. The Mathematics Department will drop students who do not qualify for a course in which they enroll.

Students arriving late will not be admitted!
(you do not have to sign up before the tests)

Who Needs to take the Placement Exams

  • Students with Advanced Placement examination credit or transfer units for courses in mathematics.
  • Students who wish to enroll in:
    • Math 12, 16A, 17A, or 21A

  • Precalculus Exam:
  • Mon. 6/23/08 at 1:00pm - 3216 Dutton
    Summer Session 1 students only
  • Chemistry Exam:
  • Tue. 6/24/08 at 10:00am - 3216 Dutton
    Summer Session 1 students only

Things to Keep in Mind

  • All Exams are administered during:
    • Summer Advising and Orientation
      • AND

    • Orientation week of ALL quarters which exams are required by courses
