Tutoring is provided free of charge to those students enrolled in selected courses. Various services are available to students interested in increasing their subject knowledge and overall academic success. The Learning Skills Center will make every effort to assign you a tutoring appointment.
Math/Science/Stats
Small Group Tutoring:
Offered in BIS 1abc, 101, 102, 103, Chem 2ab, 118ab, 8ab, Math 12, 16ab, 17c, 21ab, Phy 7abc, 9ab, Stats 13 and Spanish 1-31. Students may receive one to two days of tutoring per week for the entire quarter. Attendance is mandatory. Stop by the Learning Skills Center front desk to complete an application.
Drop-in Help:
- Math Drop-in Tutoring:
Specialists are available in the Math drop-in room located in 2237 Dutton Hall. Hours and subjects available are listed on the Math subject page.
- Chem Drop-in Tutoring:
Specialists are available in the Chem drop-in room located in 2239 Dutton Hall. Hours and subjects available are listed on the Chem subject page.
Writing/Linguistics/Spanish
Appointment Tutoring:
There are no individual writing appointments available for this quarter.
Writing Drop-in Tutoring:
Writing drop-in is available for students who need assistance with any writing assignment. Tutors will assist students with paragraph development, punctuation, and grammar. Writing drop-in is located in 2262 Dutton Hall. Hours are Monday - Thursday 9:00 am to 4:00 pm and Friday 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
Please remember to bring a paper draft for any drop-in writing tutoring session.
Computer Drafts are NOT permitted.
